On June 11, during the 18th SNEC International Photovoltaic Power Generation and Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition (2025) in Shanghai, Wang Yanqing, Chairman of Lead Intelligent Equipment (hereafter referred to as “LEAD”), received the Industrial Contribution Award (Individual Category) at the prestigious APVIA Asia Photovoltaic and Energy Storage Awards.
Established by the Asia Photovoltaic Industry Association (APVIA), the award honors individuals and organizations across the Asia-Pacific region for outstanding contributions to capacity building and innovation in the solar and energy storage industries. Following a rigorous selection and review process, Wang was named this year’s recipient, recognizing his exemplary leadership and significant impact on the sector.
Since entering the photovoltaic market, LEAD has remained at the forefront of solar manufacturing innovation. Under Chairman Wang’s leadership, the company has spearheaded industry transformation through continuous investment in next-generation technologies, including XBC, HJT, and perovskite cell processes. LEAD provides fully integrated smart manufacturing solutions for both PV modules and cells, along with unified solar-storage intelligent production systems—empowering customers to build fully automated, “lights-out” solar factories. These advancements are accelerating the PV industry’s transition to high-efficiency, digitalized manufacturing, strengthening the renewable energy infrastructure in China and around the world.
At SNEC 2025, LEAD unveiled a range of breakthrough technologies, marking a new era in high-efficiency photovoltaic production. Key highlights included next-generation stringers such as the XBC Stringer, 0BB Stringer, and a fully compatible ultra-high-speed stringer. The company also introduced its TOPCon 3.0 smart cell factory solution and launched a complete perovskite solar cell production line. The 0BB and XBC stringers drew particular attention, earning spots among the “Top 10 Highlights” of the exhibition and receiving widespread acclaim for their high throughput, efficiency, compatibility, and reliability.
In the energy storage sector, LEAD—under the strategic leadership of Chairman Wang Yanqing—has made forward-looking investments in next-generation storage technologies. The company launched a large-scale energy storage battery assembly line featuring fully integrated processes and a range of energy-saving enhancements. This system delivers over 15% higher production capacity than the industry average, with a line yield of 98.5% and continuous production efficiency of 85%—both well above sector benchmarks.
At SNEC 2025, LEAD also unveiled its next-generation containerized energy storage system. Compatible with both CTP and MTP architectures, the solution is engineered for high automation, flexibility, precision, and broad adaptability. It supports multiple takt time configurations, offering a scalable and efficient path to mass production across a wide range of applications.
Chairman Wang Yanqing of LEAD stated:
“As the global energy transition accelerates, the photovoltaic industry plays a pivotal role in driving sustainable development for humanity. LEAD remains firmly committed to innovation, continually exploring emerging trends in smart solar manufacturing. Through exceptional quality and fully integrated solutions, we aim to advance intelligent manufacturing across both the solar and energy storage sectors—and to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the new energy industry in China and worldwide.”
